the ‘For You’ page, you are going to get overnight stardom.

popular making just 15 seconds videos. Today, TikTok stars like Chali D’Amelio,
Bella Poarch, Dixie D’Amelio, Addison Rae, Bryce Hall, Khaby Lame, Noah Beck, Baby
Ariel, etc are huge names on TikTok and have got millions of followers with
billions of hearts.
Well, not only TikTok stars but there are some
music artists too who blew up in no time because of the app. As we know, music
is an integral part of making these videos, and these music or songs became so
viral overnight that they gave stardom to so many well-known artists right now.
Today we are going to talk about 5 music
artists, whose songs went viral, and in no time became popular overnight. Let
us start the list:
5. Trevor Daniel:
PC: Enfnts Terribles
Trevor Daniel is an American singer and
songwriter who has been making music since 2017. But during those days, he
wasn’t that mainstream, and his songs didn’t get much attention. In 2019, he
gained immense popularity with the song “Falling”, which was originally
released back in 2018. “Falling” was the song from his first studio album,
Nicotine.
The song soon started to get popular on Tiktok
after some users used it in their videos. Although there is no certain type of
video theme for the song, it became popular as a lot of users started to use it
in their videos.
“Falling” finally peaked at number 17 in the
Billboard Hot 100 chart making it his first song to do so, and that too after 2
years of its release. Today, Daniel has collaborated with top artists of this
generation like Selena Gomez, Julia Michaels, Tainy, Bebe Rexha, Becky G, etc.
4. Curtis Waters:
PC: The Kathmandu Post
Arshia Fattahi, known professionally by his
stage name, Curtis Waters, is a Nepali-Canadian singer and songwriter, who
gained overnight popularity with the song “Stunnin”, and he is just 21 at that time.
Originally born in Kathmandu, Nepal, Waters
moved to India and Germany and finally settled in Canada. His stage name is
derived from two of his favorite artists: Ian Curtis and Frank Ocean.
Waters became popular overnight when his song
“Stunnin” went viral on TikTok, and started a trend called #whatidwear. In the
video, people show different fashion styles with every verse of the song. It
became so popular that even the popular Disney star, Debby Ryan, recreated some
of her most iconic outfits in this song. That video has over 26 Million likes,
and like this Curtis Waters came into the limelight.
3. Conan Gray:
PC: Seventeen Magazine
Although Conan Gray started his career as a
teenager by making vlogs, covering songs, and also uploading some of his
originals, his biggest break came in 2020 when he released the song, “Heather”,
which became a huge summer hit of 2020. The song was from his album, Kid Krow.
The lyrics of the song tell a story where he
used to love a boy, but that boy loves a girl named Heather, and he expresses
both his jealousy and appreciation towards her and wishes that he was Heather.
The song got popular on TikTok when people started to make videos defining perfect beauty in a meme-like format.
“Heather” even peaked at number 47 on the
Billboard Hot 100 chart, and even a legendary singer, Sir Elton John, praised
the song saying, “There’s a boy called Conan Gray who has a song called
‘Heather’ and he’s about 22, he’s from America and he’s the only person in the
[streaming chart] to actually write the song without anybody else. Everybody
else there’s four or five writers on [a track]. You look at most of the records
in the charts - they’re not real songs. They’re bits and pieces and it’s nice
to hear someone write a proper song.”
